David joined Haseltine Lake in 2003 after graduating from the University of Durham, and qualified as a European and UK patent attorney in 2008.

David has experience of handling inventions in a range of technical fields, including telecommunications, software and network/internet-based systems, microelectronics, inductive charging systems, general electronics and computer systems, and mechanical devices.

David’s principal activities include the drafting and prosecution of UK, European and International patent applications, the preparation of validity and infringement opinions, and the provision of strategy advice for patent-portfolio development and management. He also has practical experience of providing advice and assistance in both pre-purchase and post-purchase phases of IP portfolio acquisition, including the preparation and registering of supporting documentation.
